"REVERSE" SOMEKINDAWONDERFUL
This is a hell of a song. Check out these lyrics! The song, whose melody I just love, is called "Reverse" by a SomeKindaWonderful. According to Wikipedia, SomeKindaWonderful is "a four-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio featuring Jordy Towers (vocals/lyrics), as well as Matt Gibson (guitar), Ben Schigel (drums), Sarah Dyer (back-up vocals/percussion) the genre-bending group came together after Towers became another casualty of the major label system. Once signed to Interscope as a solo act, the label eventually left him hanging on the vine. Towers knew it was time for a reset and headed to Ohio to re-examine his life [1]. During a fateful trip to visit family in the suburban Cleveland town of Olmstead Falls (pop 9,000), it was there in January 2013 that Gibson & Schigel & Towers met at a bar [2] Their lead single "Reverse" was written the night they met and the full album was completed the very same week. Shortly there-after they signed a record deal with [Records] and Capital/Vertigo. The Single "Reverse" is currently #27 on the Alternative Charts[3
SomeKindaWonderful "Reverse" lyrics
She hung the phone and I said "Fuck you it's over"
Sorry but this is the end
I said "Don't trip it was just a harmless sleepover"
See, we're just was making friends
She said "then what were you doing there in 4 in the morning?"
You told me you were at home
I started with "darling please listen"
And then I picked up my phone, yeah
I told my story in REVERSE 'cause it hurts
Girl it hurts too much to bare
But I'm tantalized by their legs & long hair
But if I could do it again
I would do it again!
If I could do it again
I would do it again!
If I could do it again
Probably do it again!
Could I get a DO-OVER?!
Babyy, ooh oh
Hey, ooh oh
I plugged my phone in as I backed out the driveway,
Then I started my car
Slipped out the door after I crept through her hallway
She left it slightly ajar, yeah
Threw on my kicks my socks my jeans and my t-shirt
Then threw my HAT on my head
I did it quiet so that I wouldn't wake her
Woke up in another girl's bed, yooo
I tell my story in REVERSE 'cause it hurts
Girl it hurts too much to bare
But I'm tantalized by their legs & long hair
But if I could do it again
I would do it again!
If I could do it again
I would do it again!
If I could do it again
Probably do it again!
Could I get a DO-OVER?
Babyy, ooh oh
Hey, ooh oh
I told my story in REVERSE 'cause it hurts
Girl it hurts too much to bare
But I'm tantalized by their legs & long hair
But if I could do it again
I would do it again
If I could do it again
I would do it again
If I could do it again
Probably do it again
Could I get a DO-OVER? OVER!
Yeaa, oooh
I told my story in REVERSE cause it hurts
Girl it hurts too much to bare
But I'm tantalized by their legs and long hair
But if I could do it again
I would do it again
If I could do it again
I would do it again
If I could do it again
Probably do it again
Could I get a do over?

CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL
Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, John Fogerty
GREEN RIVER
Well, take me back down where cool water flows, y'all
A-let me remember things I love, Lord
Stoppin' at the log where catfish bite
Walkin' along the river road at night
Barefoot girls dancin' in the moonlight
I can hear the bullfrog callin' me home
Wonder if my rope's still hangin' to the tree, ho
Love to kick my feet 'way down the shallow water
Shoo, fly, dragonfly, get back, you mother
Pick up a flat rock; skip it across Green River
Well!
Up at Cody's camp I spent my days, Lord
With flat-car riders and cross-tie walkers
Old Cody Junior took me over
Said, "You're gonna find the world be smolderin'
And if you get a-lost, come on home to Green River"
Well!
Come on home
BAD MOON RISING
I see a bad moon rising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightning.
I see bad times today.
Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
I hear hurricanes a-blowin'.
I know the end is comin' soon.
I feel rivers overflowin'.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.
Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
Alright!
Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we're in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.
Well, don't go round tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
Don't come around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
BORN ON THE BAYOU
Now when I was just a little boy, standin' to my Daddy's knee
My poppa said, "Son, don't let the man get you, do what he done to me.
'Cause he'll get you
'Cause he'll get you now, now."
And I can remember the fourth of July
Runnin' through the backwoods bare
And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin'
Chasin' down a hoodoo there
Chasin' down a hoodoo there
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Yoh, yoh
Wish I was back on the Bayou
Rollin' with some Cajun Queen
Wishin' I were a fast freight train
Just a-chooglin' on down to New Orleans
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Yoh, yoh
Do it, do it, do it, do it
Oh, Lord
Oh, get back, boy
I can remember the fourth of July
Runnin' through the backwoods bare
And I can still hear my old hound dog barkin'
Chasin' down a hoodoo there
Chasin' down a hoodoo there
Born on the Bayou
Born on the Bayou
Yoh, yoh
Born on the Bayou
Alright!
Do, do, do, do
