Mississippi John Hurt, 1892-1966

"Since I Laid My Burden Down, Lord" is one of my favorite of his.
"Nearer My God to Thee" is beautiful.
"I Shall Not Be Moved" is like God speaking to me.
"The Ballad of Stagger Lee" is fun.
"Lonesome Valley" is like being the church you've always wanted.
"Do Lord Remember Me" is a soulful, consoling melody.
